Activity Meter Position
In-house experiments are in progress at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Using an activity sensor prototype developed by CSEM, AUTH researchers are working towards the detection of body movements and extraction of reliable activity indicators.
During the experiments the device is placed at different parts of the body while the subjects perform different activities, such as walking, running, sitting and eating. The acquired signals are then processed with different algorithms that allow the detection of these activity types. The aim is to find which combination of sensor position and processing algorithm yields the detection of the correct type of activity.
